Dear Members,

It is a privilege and honor to serve as the new president of the Iowa High School Swim Coaches Association. For over 20 years I have been part of Iowa high school swimming as a swimmer, volunteer coach, assistant coach, and currently the head men's swim coach at Dubuque Hempstead High School. I am excited to continue to build on the tradition of high school swimming in the state of Iowa. Our state has excellent coaches and most importantly, well-rounded student athletes that I will strive to represent with the best of my abilities.

Moving forward would be hard to do without the guidance and support that our past president, Mike Loupee, has shown me in this first week. Mike, you have served us well for the past 14 years, recognizing and promoting the success of our sport. I will continue your example of striving to better our sport.

Communication will be key to our success as we work to improve our sport. Please feel free to contact me throughout my time as president. As the school year winds down, I hope you and your student athletes have a great off-season. I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish with our student athletes in the great state of IOWA.

Sincerely,

Rick Loeffelholz
